Admission  Requirements
  Candidates  seeking admission into the PhD in English degree programme are required to  possess: 
- An M.A. Degree in English Language or English literature with not less than 60% or its equivalent from Babcock University or other duly and accredited institutions. Applicants with less than 3.00 CGPA or its equivalent may be considered for the (Master of Philosophy) in English.
 
- Any other M.A. degree which will be evaluated to determine the level of courses to be taken as remedial in order to qualify for the PhD in English programme.
 
- An M.Phil in English Language or English Literature with a pass mark of 50%. Such candidates will commence with the 2nd year of the PhD programme.
 
NOTE:
- Given the academic nature of this programme, no credit is given for professional expert.
 
- All categories of applicants may however be required to go through a postgraduate selection process.
 
Graduation  Requirements
  Students  are expected to complete a total of 58 Credit units including the successful  completion and defense of a dissertation with a minimum of 50% pass mark in all  courses.

  A  minimum of 6 Semesters
